Passionate about life

Passionate living
Yesterday i was roaming around with many thoughts occupying my mind about positive and passionate living. I reasoned with myself about how to change a life of a person and trigger a difference.  As I approached the bus stage, I felt a touch on my left hand accompanied by a feint hoarse voice “Uncle nibuyie kachai” meaning uncle, buy me a cup of tea. When I took time and looked, I saw a young boy with tattered clothes and with no shoes staring at me.
In my pocket, I had a hundred shillings with me which I had planned to get to town with and then back. When I looked at the boy, he looked hopeless, hungry and weak, and I thought to myself how I could help him. As this happened, I recalled my previous thoughts on changing lives. I asked him his name and told him to come with me to a sideway cafe as we chat. I asked the boy what he   would take and he said he had not eaten for the last couple of days but since asking for food would appear hard to many people, that’s why he settled on asking for a cup of tea from any person. Some of them would abuse him and spit on him while calling him Chokora (street boy) I ordered a plate of food for him and told him to relax and eat.
After a few minutes he was through and the plate appeared like if it had not heard any food for the last few hours. The boy was full and I thought it was good to know more about him.  I again confirmed his name as Karanja and carefully interrogated him for more information. He explained to me things until I felt tears in my eyes. His mother and father had died long ago out of AID’s when he was six years old and now he is thirteen years.  He explained to me that after the death of his parents, his grandparents started mistreating him and he ran away to the town they were previously living with his parents before they died and which is the town we are in. one lady took him and returned him to school and vowed to help him for the better part of his school life but unfortunately after one year,

Not yet

Hello people,  upto this point we can say boldly that change is inevitable and for real it is. We have achieved much and are still improving to do much, in actual sense, we have not done anything yet compared to what we are up to. We have taken in another home by the name Home Delegate. We eagerly need English and mathmatics teachers, Sport trainers, people who can teach hygiene to the children, people that can help in cooking, building and taking care of animals.

Giving back to the community is the best thing and that act of kindness or assistance will never depart from you, if you do good from the bottom of your heart, that good will come back to you in one time. Actually caring for orphans and helping them is lending God. The bible says "Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble."  Psalms 41:1

So keep on keeping on to see that you become one of the changers  and improvers of life, this can be done in various ways like  prayers, virtual volunteering, physical volunteering, sponsoring or even mobilizing a team to do this.

So far we have volunteers that are expected to be with us in July through to August, and if you feel like you wanna join them to show your love and become a changer of life, you are most welcome. Also if your position in the work place can allow you, just take time and see how you can mobilize and look for school stuff like writting pads, pencils and biro pens, rubbers, school shoes and other school materials since we also eagerly need them.

Feel free as you scroll down the blog to view more and learn more and as you purpose to be one of a change makers.

NEXT LEVEL

Hello guys, am sure you have been doing great. We are cool here at muungano, still pushing the campaign to change lives to the next level. we've been having several volunteers in this month of December and sincerely speaking they have been great with great impact to our projects.
THIS IS ONE OF THE PROJECTS PHOTO TAKEN AT ALPHA JOY IN NDEIYA ON THE 3RD 0F DECEMBER So far we have started visiting IDPs that were displaced by the post election violence to give them food, give them hope of living and offering medical care to the malnutritioned kids and pregnant mothers, we have discovered that the rate of HIV/AIDs is rising due to the poverty found in this place. in this case we still need more volunteers/helpers who have expertise in fields of medical and are willing to change a life and make a difference. Others with a big heart are also welcome to make a difference in lives of the less fortunate kids/orphans and mothers. The final news is that we have a new, more competence and good looking website where every detail has been well explained.follow this link to get there, http://muunganointernational.weebly.com HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY YEAR 2012

Change is Inevitable

We,ve started our outreach program at the Naivasha IDP camp, with the help of our volunteers to make the lives of the people that suffered the post election violence after effect until now, with the deteriorating and unfavouring living conditions resulting to high rate of HIV and aids and finally resulting to high numbers of orphans who are hopeless and desperate in life. check out the pics of one of our outreach program open day. Our Ndeiya village orphanage by the name Alpha Joy care center is experiencing an extreme makeover like in helping the kids and the surrounding on community after receiving volunteers from out side the country. we believe that leaving a mark into a needing heart and a desperate one will never go unrewarded.
All my life i have been brought up in this small village called Ndeiya with great poverty and suffering to a point of going to bed empty bellied like with no food and the next day you are expected to go to school very early and learn, i am privileged to have parents and i thank God for them, but i really went through hard time and one day i thought to my self "I am suffering to the highest degree and i have parents, what about them that do not have?" and the thought lingered in my mind for long. God blessed me finnaly and i completed my high school education and went to college just with lots of problems loans form friends. i prayed to God that he may change situations in Ndeiya and Kenya at large, and he gave me that burden to trigger change, change the environment, change the surrounding and all that is in it will be changed. And as like one man said, Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. i am the one i've been waiting for. i am the change that i seek. and as i say that change is inevitable, the time has come to bring it to Ndeiya community to trigger a difference, self sustaining projects, income generating projects for the youths, creating awareness that one should not deny himself, because he can become anything he wants to become, creating HIV awareness to decrease the rate of deaths and the rates of orphans respectively with the assistance of you volunteers i know we are able to do this, "Bringing change to Ndeiya community."
