How to volunteer

Muungano has various volunteer opportunities that are constantly changing relevant to our current projects. In recognition of this, please be advised that although we will do our utmost best to consider your preferences, we cannot always guarantee specific placements

Volunteer opportunities may not be limited to those detailed on the volunteer page. Please contact us if you have an interest in using your particular skills or getting in involved in specific interest based program so we can do our best to create a volunteer opportunity that benefits all.

Program Costs
Program costs cover transportation from the airport in host country, initial transportation to your volunteer placement and transfers back to the city if required at the completion of your placement, host family accommodations including 3 meals a day (breakfast and dinner), orientation, and in-country 24/7 support and supervision.
Muungano also guarantees that part of every volunteers program fee will go toward Donations and supporting various ongoing projects established by Muungano International

Registration Fee:
Registration fee of 150 USD is  used to cover Muungano’s program promotion costs, administrative costs, travel costs to inspect and develop new & existing programs and pre-trip communication and support costs for volunteers and airport pickup/transfers.
Additional Costs:
Visa, airfare, vaccinations, trips and tours while in Kenya, spending money ($25 USD is usually sufficient for basic weekly expenses.)
Program Dates:
Our programs run throughout the entire year. Program orientations will take place according to volunteer arrival dates, providing flexibility in regards to when volunteers wish to commence their placements.

NB: Registration fee of 150 USD should be paid at once to confirm your position. For the program fee, you are to pay not less than 30 days before your start date.
